Edmonton LMIA Immigration Consultants

We offer expert advice & assistance to individuals who are seeking a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to work in Canada. Our certified immigration consultants have over 20 years of experience in LMIA applications and processing.

What is LMIA?

We assist Canadian employers in processing Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications for hiring international workers. A major requirement in hiring an international worker is providing a positive LMIA, proof that no Canadian worker is able to supply your need and that hiring an international skilled worker is necessary. You cannot start recruiting an international worker without the pre-approval of the LMIA. Once you receive the positive LMIA, you will need to send it to your prospective international worker to attach to his/her application for a work permit.

Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) Application Process

  1. Determine if you need an LMIA. LMIAs are needed to hire international workers through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). If so, ensure that you have met the requirements to apply.
  2. We will help you prepare the paperwork and submit your application with the necessary supporting documents through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
  3. Processing times vary from a few days to several weeks. Factors affecting processing time include the demand for the occupation, level of salary, and duration of the work period.
  4. If ESDC approves the job offer, they will send an LMIA confirmation letter, which you must provide to the foreign worker for their work permit application. We can also assist international workers with applying and obtaining their temporary work permits. If your application is rejected, CIC will return your application with the reason(s) why it was rejected. We can help you file an appeal if necessary.

We perform assessments based on the information provided by you. We do not guarantee entry into Canada as the final decision is taken by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). We simply present the best scenario for individuals to come to Canada, provide guidance throughout the process, and guarantee our professionalism and due diligence in helping our clients complete their applications.
